“Exploring Rhode Island” – Photography Exhibit at Bill Krul Gallery

Thanks to All of You!

2015 has been an amazing year here at Mike Dooley Photography! My latest exhibit “Exploring Rhode Island” is on display! Life is sure full of ups and downs, but I have to say that my photography has been on a HUGE up! And I have to thank all of YOU – for all the likes, the shares and the kind words of encouragement that you have provided me over this past year!

I would also like so sent out a huge thank you to the Bill Krul Gallery for hosting my latest exhibit, titled “Exploring Rhode Island”. The exhibit will be on display at Bill’s gallery in Narragansett, RI from October 1 – October 31, 2015.

“Exploring Rhode Island”

“Exploring Rhode Island” features a number of my most recent photographs taken here in the Ocean State. I am so fortunate to live in a place rich in beauty and diversity. Exploring our home and recording the things that I find with my camera brings me a satisfaction like nothing else in the world.

Newport Bridge at Night - After shooting sunrise the other morning, a friend and I decided to explore a few spots along the coast on the way home. We came across this location, and felt that it gave us a great vantage point to shoot the bridge and felt it would be an excellent spot to explore for night photography! Needless to say, only 12 hours later we were back. Part of my "Exploring Rhode Island" exhibit

Over the past year I have been printing more and more of my photographs on aluminum. The color and detail renders my images like no other medium I have ever worked with before. If you have ever wanted to see a print on metal this would be a great opportunity, as I will have two large 20″ x 30″ prints on display.

In addition to the prints on metal the exhibit will also feature several traditional paper prints in white mats and  simple, yet elegant black wooden frames.

Please join me for an opening reception on Saturday, October 3 from 4-6 PM at the Bill Krul Gallery. This is always my favorite part of any exhibit! Drinks, snacks, lots of art and most of all a chance to socialize. Getting to meet and chat with so many people that enjoy photography as much as I do!
