Fine Art Seascape Photography at Beavertail State Park in Rhode Island
There is nothing like the smell of the ocean, the feel of the waters mist on your face and the sound of the ocean crashing on the rocks at Beavertail State Park. Beavertail is one of my favorite locations along Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island when working on my fine art photography. Views to the east, west and south as Narragansett Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean makes it an ideal location for both sunrise and sunset photography. I return to this location over and over again, in search of that perfect seascape photograph when all the elements come together.
Beavertail State Park is located on Conanicut Island in Narragansett Bay and is known for its giant rocky shoreline. I love to climb down on these rocks and get low with my camera in order to include many of the rocks into my composition. Many times I photograph the lighthouse, however on this night the sunset was calling to me. The soft colors and gentle wispy clouds in the sky stood in stark contrast to the rugged rocks and angry surf.
I turned my back on the lighthouse, and concentrated my efforts on the sunset and the rocky shoreline. At sunset, the golden light hits the wet rocks in a beautiful way, glistening and reflecting the golden colors of the sun as it dips below the horizon as the day comes to a close. The light dances along the shoreline, making each photograph different and unique.
You can purchase this seascape photograph, as well as many of my photographs in my fine art print gallery. Enjoy the photographs, and do come back again soon!
