Photography has always been my way of slowing down, noticing the light, the rhythm, the story. From the quiet beaches of Rhode Island to the city streets of Providence, the click of the camera has always been my companion—my teacher, my anchor, and my muse.
Over the years, I’ve chased sunrise, sunset, storms, and stillness. I’ve learned patience in the quiet, joy in the unexpected, and humility in the face of nature’s ever-changing canvas. Every frame has a story, and every story shapes how I see the next scene.
The Art of the Print
During my recovery, I developed a close relationship with my Epson printer, printing hundreds of images. In years past, prints were created big, for restaurants, banks, hospitals—professional spaces. At home, I only printed proofs, reviewing each image technically before sending it off for a large, final print.
“Now, each print is an opportunity to fall into the viewfinder again—but this time, into the feeling of the image.”
My favorite size is 13″x19″, perfect to stand and hold, to feel the weight, thickness, and texture of the paper. You can sense the importance it demands. Details stretch seemingly forever. Each print is not just a picture—it’s a meditation, a conversation with the light, the subject, and myself.
Returning to the Photography Community

Beach
Back on the beach, camera in hand, I’m reminded why I fell in love with seascapes and landscapes in the first place—the rhythm, the movement, the light. And now, I share that love with others through prints, workshops, and mentorship.

Photo Clubs & Lectures
I’ve returned to clubs and art gatherings to share stories and insights, celebrating photography as a conversation as much as an art form.
Photography isn’t just about the images. It’s about the people, the conversations, and the spaces where art and ideas intersect.
Philosophy & Approach
For me, photography is not just about capturing a perfect image. It’s about mindfulness, experimentation, and storytelling. It’s about connection—with nature, with people, and with the moment itself. Each print, each image, each class is a reflection of that philosophy.
I aim to share ideas, tools, and techniques that empower others to see the world differently—to notice the light, the color, the rhythm, the tiny stories that exist in every scene. Photography is more than an art; it’s a conversation with the world around us.
Mindfulness Through Photography
During my recovery, I discovered just how much photography could be a practice in mindfulness. Standing at the water’s edge, camera in hand, I found myself fully present in the moment—the motion of the waves, the subtle colors in the sky, the rhythm of light and shadow. It was as if the world had narrowed down to that one frame, and everything else could wait. For anyone exploring mindfulness in their own life, I highly recommend checking out Mindful.org for tips, exercises, and inspiration on staying grounded in the present. Photography became my way to practice it daily—connecting to the world and to myself, one click at a time.
