Meet the Chief Storyteller
Fine Art Photography & Stories by Mike Dooley
I’m Mike—head of photography, chief storyteller, and occasional tripod wrangler. Around here, you’ll find more than just pretty pictures of New England landscapes and seascapes. You’ll find stories, a little laughter, and maybe a splash or two of sand. Think of this space as a mix of gallery, coffee shop, and beach walk conversation—minus the seagulls stealing your snacks.
Photography, for me, isn’t just about clicking a shutter. It’s about slowing down, noticing the light, and capturing those quiet, soul-soothing moments that often slip past us. Whether it’s a New England coastal photography print whispering “breathe,” or a Rhode Island seascape bringing calm to a storm inside you, my goal is to turn these landscapes and seascapes into wall art that brings beauty, peace, and emotion into your home.
Stick around for behind-the-scenes peeks at beach and seascape photography, tips and tricks (the kind that actually make sense), stories from the road, and maybe the occasional corny joke I can’t help but share.
Whether you’re ready to book a workshop, buy a print, or simply ask a question, or just say “wow, that sunrise shot made me weep a little,” I want to hear from you.
In other words, this is the official, sophisticated, slightly awkward corner of the internet where you can reach out and actually connect with a real person (me).
No chatbots, no hold music, no carrier pigeons. Just straight-up, friendly connection.

Your Journey Awaits
I’ve wandered the shorelines, captured the light, and yes—I drink way too much coffee. Let me help you create your story.

💬 Need something?
Want to:
- Talk about a specific photo?
- Inquire about a custom print?
- Ask about a photo workshop?
- Hire me for a private shoot?
- Invite me to speak or teach?
- Send me your favorite bad pun?
Honestly, I love all of that. (Especially the puns.)
That said, I may be out chasing the light when you message me, but I promise to get back to you faster than a long exposure in daylight.
☕ Bonus Points:
By the way, if your message includes something like:
- “I love your seascapes.”
- “What lens did you use for that Block Island shot?”
- “You inspired me to pick up my camera again.”
…in that case, there’s a 117% chance I’ll respond with a coffee-fueled smile and a thoughtful reply.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (a.k.a. Stuff People Ask Me While I’m Editing Photos and Drinking Coffee)
🕒 How soon will I hear back from you?
Typically, you’ll hear back within 24 hours—unless I’m chasing a sunrise or knee-deep in Lightroom edits. But I always reply, I promise.
📸 Do you offer one-on-one coaching or custom workshops?
Absolutely – and more than that, I love working with photographers at all levels. Whether you’re stuck in full-auto mode or just need help telling your visual story, we’ll design a session that fits you perfectly.
🖼 Can I get a custom-sized print?
Yes, and in fact many of my fine art prints can be sized to fit your space. Just shoot me an email with what you’re looking for and I’ll guide you through it (minus the pressure).
🌅 Where are your workshops held?
Most often, workshops are based in scenic spots around Rhode Island—especially the coastline and Narragansett area. If there’s light, water, and coffee nearby, we’re probably headed there.
💳 What forms of payment do you accept?
When it comes to payment, I accept Venmo, PayPal, cash, and bartering in dad jokes (just kidding). Payment instructions will be provided once you’re registered for a workshop or print order.
