What started as a beautiful summer evening at Buttonwood Farm turned stormy in a hurry. Dark clouds rolled in fast, rain followed, and I found myself taking shelter in a friend’s car, wondering if the night’s shoot was over before it really began.
But storms pass—and sometimes, they leave behind something incredible.
As the last raindrops fell, I jumped back out, set up my gear, and worked quickly. The clearing sky was alive with drama: heavy, moody clouds pulling away just as the sunflowers below caught the remaining light, still standing tall and unbothered by the chaos that had just swept through.
Sunflowers under Stormy Skies celebrates nature’s power and unpredictability. It’s a reminder that turbulence doesn’t get the final word—and that beauty often shows up right after we think the moment has passed.
