The Story Behind “A Tree in the City“
Walking through Providence, I was captivated by a willow tree quietly illuminated by the city lights. The way the glow caressed its branches created a scene that felt almost theatrical, like the city itself was whispering a secret. I composed the shot to let the tree take center stage, grounding the frame while the urban environment danced behind it.
Printed as fine art, A Tree in the City brings the subtle magic of urban nature into your space. Whether displayed in a home, office, or designer’s curated project, this piece offers visual depth and emotional resonance—art that celebrates quiet beauty and the delicate interplay of light and environment.
Limited Edition Information
An edition of 25, and then it’s closed.
You get a 12×18 inch image printed on 13×19 inch archival paper. I print it myself. Each print is signed, titled and numbered.
The story behind the photograph comes with it, printed on 9×11 fine art paper, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist’s proofs (AP) are also made. They are numbered and marked AP, and I use them at my discretion.
Open Edition Information
Open Edition prints are made by Blazing Editions, a fine art print studio I’ve worked with for over a decade. I’ve been through their shop and watched how they work. They print to order with archival pigment inks, on paper or metal, and I trust them with my images.
Paper or Metal?
Paper gives you the most detail and the traditional look. Metal is glossy, vivid and tough, and it hangs without a frame.
Both use archival materials and archival pigment inks.
These are fine art prints. Frames are not included.
Which Size?
When in doubt, I’d go a size up.
The Print Size Guide shows how each size looks in a room.
Shipping & Handling
Every print is made to order and packed with care.
