The Story Behind “The Stairs”
While exploring Providence after dark, I spotted this staircase along the Providence Performing Arts Center and couldn’t resist running to photograph it. Patrons exiting the theater watched curiously as I captured the scene.
The Stairs celebrates the unexpected energy and drama of the city at night—the way light, architecture, and motion intersect to create something visually compelling and uniquely urban. Perfect for homes, offices, or galleries, this print brings a sense of movement, light, and urban rhythm into your space.
Limited Edition Information
An edition of 25, and then it’s closed.
You get a 12×18 inch image printed on 13×19 inch archival paper. I print it myself. Each print is signed, titled and numbered.
The story behind the photograph comes with it, printed on 9×11 fine art paper, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist’s proofs (AP) are also made. They are numbered and marked AP, and I use them at my discretion.
Open Edition Information
Open Edition prints are made by Blazing Editions, a fine art print studio I’ve worked with for over a decade. I’ve been through their shop and watched how they work. They print to order with archival pigment inks, on paper or metal, and I trust them with my images.
Paper or Metal?
Paper gives you the most detail and the traditional look. Metal is glossy, vivid and tough, and it hangs without a frame.
Both use archival materials and archival pigment inks.
These are fine art prints. Frames are not included.
Which Size?
When in doubt, I’d go a size up.
The Print Size Guide shows how each size looks in a room.
Shipping & Handling
Every print is made to order and packed with care.
