The Story Behind “Sunflowers at Sunset”
Every summer, my wife and I make the pilgrimage to Buttonwood Farm in Griswold, Connecticut, for the Sunflower Festival. Ice cream, hayrides, and fields of golden blooms make it a place full of simple joy.
While my wife relaxes with her knitting, I chase the perfect flower, a bumblebee in mid-flight, or that golden light spilling across the field. But no matter how far I roam, we always end the day back at this spot, together, watching the sun sink below the horizon.
Sunflowers at Sunset captures the warmth, playfulness, and quiet magic of a summer evening—a reminder to savor the simple moments that make life bright. Perfect for homes, offices, or gallery walls, it brings joy and light into your space.
Limited Edition Information
An edition of 25, and then it’s closed.
You get a 12×18 inch image printed on 13×19 inch archival paper. I print it myself. Each print is signed, titled and numbered.
The story behind the photograph comes with it, printed on 9×11 fine art paper, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist’s proofs (AP) are also made. They are numbered and marked AP, and I use them at my discretion.
Open Edition Information
Open Edition prints are made by Blazing Editions, a fine art print studio I’ve worked with for over a decade. I’ve been through their shop and watched how they work. They print to order with archival pigment inks, on paper or metal, and I trust them with my images.
Paper or Metal?
Paper gives you the most detail and the traditional look. Metal is glossy, vivid and tough, and it hangs without a frame.
Both use archival materials and archival pigment inks.
These are fine art prints. Frames are not included.
