The Story Behind “Chevy Bel Air”
Few cars capture the spirit of classic Americana quite like the Chevy Bel Air. This photograph focuses on the rear quarter panel, finished in baby blue and white, drenched in chrome and confidence. Captured by Mike Dooley, this fine art print celebrates the details—the kind you only notice when you slow down and really look.
This image isn’t about speed or aggression. It’s about design, craftsmanship, and an era when cars were rolling works of art. Perfect for an office, man cave, garage, or creative space, this print brings warmth, nostalgia, and unmistakable style to any wall.
This Bel Air print is perfect for anyone who loves 1950s design, classic cars, or Americana. It’s also a fantastic gift for collectors who appreciate photography that celebrates detail over spectacle.
Hang this Chevy Bel Air print and bring color, chrome, and mid-century charm into your favorite room. Whether displayed on its own or as part of a curated automotive collection, this image adds personality, warmth, and timeless appeal.
Limited Edition Information
An edition of 25, and then it’s closed.
You get a 12×18 inch image printed on 13×19 inch archival paper. I print it myself. Each print is signed, titled and numbered.
The story behind the photograph comes with it, printed on 9×11 fine art paper, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist’s proofs (AP) are also made. They are numbered and marked AP, and I use them at my discretion.
Open Edition Information
Open Edition prints are made by Blazing Editions, a fine art print studio I’ve worked with for over a decade. I’ve been through their shop and watched how they work. They print to order with archival pigment inks, on paper or metal, and I trust them with my images.
Paper or Metal?
Paper gives you the most detail and the traditional look. Metal is glossy, vivid and tough, and it hangs without a frame.
Both use archival materials and archival pigment inks.
These are fine art prints. Frames are not included.
Which Size?
When in doubt, I’d go a size up.
The Print Size Guide shows how each size looks in a room.
