The Story Behind “Lemon Yellow Sun”
Lemon Yellow Sun is a visual exercise in imagination and simplicity. A lemon becomes a sun, floating against a clear blue sky—graphic, minimal, and delightfully unexpected. The photograph invites the viewer to see the ordinary from a new angle, where humor and design meet.
This image is about optimism. Strong color contrast, clean lines, and generous negative space give the piece a modern, almost surreal quality. It’s playful without being gimmicky, and bold without feeling loud. The composition feels effortless, but every element is intentional.
Perfect for kitchens, studios, creative offices, or any space that benefits from light and levity, Lemon Yellow Sun changes the mood of a room instantly. It doesn’t ask to be analyzed—it simply invites a smile.
Limited Edition Information
An edition of 25, and then it’s closed.
You get a 12×18 inch image printed on 13×19 inch archival paper. I print it myself. Each print is signed, titled and numbered.
The story behind the photograph comes with it, printed on 9×11 fine art paper, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist’s proofs (AP) are also made. They are numbered and marked AP, and I use them at my discretion.
Open Edition Information
Open Edition prints are made by Blazing Editions, a fine art print studio I’ve worked with for over a decade. I’ve been through their shop and watched how they work. They print to order with archival pigment inks, on paper or metal, and I trust them with my images.
Paper or Metal?
Paper gives you the most detail and the traditional look. Metal is glossy, vivid and tough, and it hangs without a frame.
Both use archival materials and archival pigment inks.
These are fine art prints. Frames are not included.
Which Size?
When in doubt, I’d go a size up.
The Print Size Guide shows how each size looks in a room.
