The Story Behind “Love”
Sometimes, the most meaningful moments are the smallest and quietest. Love began as a simple still life on my kitchen counter — a chocolate cupcake, a tiny red heart-shaped ring, and scattered candies — but as I framed the shot, it became much more. The arrangement was deliberate, yet unforced, capturing the gentle rhythm of care and intention in everyday life.
I wanted this image to speak without shouting. Rich browns and deep reds draw the eye, while the close framing invites the viewer in, creating a sense of intimacy and presence. Every detail — the glossy sheen of the chocolate, the curve of the heart, the soft scattering of candies — tells a story of connection, thoughtfulness, and quiet affection.
This photograph isn’t just about a dessert; it’s about the feeling it evokes. It’s a reminder that love can be subtle, patient, and enduring. Placed in a kitchen, bedroom, or gift space, Love becomes a gentle, sincere whisper of care — understated, personal, and emotionally accessible.
Limited Edition Information
An edition of 25, and then it’s closed.
You get a 12×18 inch image printed on 13×19 inch archival paper. I print it myself. Each print is signed, titled and numbered.
The story behind the photograph comes with it, printed on 9×11 fine art paper, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist’s proofs (AP) are also made. They are numbered and marked AP, and I use them at my discretion.
Open Edition Information
Open Edition prints are made by Blazing Editions, a fine art print studio I’ve worked with for over a decade. I’ve been through their shop and watched how they work. They print to order with archival pigment inks, on paper or metal, and I trust them with my images.
Paper or Metal?
Paper gives you the most detail and the traditional look. Metal is glossy, vivid and tough, and it hangs without a frame.
Both use archival materials and archival pigment inks.
These are fine art prints. Frames are not included.
