How do I buy a fine art print?

Pick a photograph, pick a size, choose paper or metal, and add it to the cart from the gallery page. Checkout is secure, and I never see your card number. After that I take care of the printing and checking. This page walks through it start to finish.

I’ve paused taking orders for the brief time I’m moving to Florida. You’re welcome to read through how it works, and I’ll be back at it once I’m set up.

Step 1: Pick a Photograph You Like

Start by browsing the galleries and noticing which ones make you stop.

Pick what you like, not what’s in style. A great article about Choosing Artwork for Your Home, by the Magnolia Group (think Chip and Joanna from HGTV)

  • Look for one that makes you feel something
  • Picture it in your room: the light, the colors
  • Don’t overthink it

Tip: Start with the photograph, not the size. We’ll sort out the rest next.

Step 2: What Size Print Fits Your Space?

The right size fits the wall without crowding it.

  • Medium prints (18×24″ to 24×36″)
Ideal for living rooms, offices, bedrooms, and most wall spaces
  • Large prints (30×45″ and up)
For dining rooms, lobbies and big walls

Pro Tip: Measure your wall first. Leave room for furniture, framing, and a little breathing space around the print. Then tape up some good old blue painter’s tape to outline the print on the wall and let it live there for a bit.

Step 3: Choose Your Print Material

Paper and metal look different. There’s no wrong choice, just what suits your room.

Paper Prints

  • Archival papers
  • Semi-gloss or matte finishes
  • Ideal for framing or matted displays
  • The classic, traditional look

Metal Prints

  • Printed on aluminum for bright, vivid color
  • Modern look, ready to hang
  • No frame needed

Only you can pick. Paper is traditional, quiet and subtle. Metal is modern, bold and dynamic. I have both at home. The short version is Should I choose a paper or metal print?

Step 4: Hanging & Placement Tips

Once it arrives, hanging it is its own question, and I answer it on How do I hang a fine art print? Height, spacing, hardware, and the tools I use.

Step 5: Ordering Made Simple

Once you’ve made your choices, the rest is easy.

  • Add your selected print to the cart from the gallery page
  • Choose size and finish
  • Enter shipping details and checkout securely

I take it from there: printing, checking it over and getting it to your door.

Step 6: Enjoy Your Print

Unpack carefully, take a moment, and hang your print.

  • Try a few positions before committing—especially with metal prints, which change with the light
  • Give it a few days in the room

Quick FAQs

Can I mix sizes or materials on the same wall?
Sure. Mixing sizes, or paper with metal, makes a wall more interesting.

Do metal prints need framing?
Nope. Metal prints arrive ready to hang.

What if my wall is an unusual shape or size?
Measure it and get in touch. I’m happy to help you work it out or look at custom sizes.
