What Is a Histogram?
- A histogram is just your photo’s pixels, sorted from dark to light and stacked up.
- Lots of dark pixels? A tall stack on the left. Lots of bright ones? A tall stack on the right.
- Pure black lives on the far left, pure white on the far right, and your photo lives somewhere in between.
- The screen on the back of your camera lies to you a little. The histogram doesn’t have that problem.
