For more than a century, Rocky Point Park stood along the Warwick coastline as Rhode Island’s beloved playground. Summer after summer, children and families came to ride the coasters, sway to the music, and eat clamcakes on the rocks that gave the park its name. The park opened in 1847 and delighted generations until its gates closed for good in 1996.

What remains now is a ghost of its former self: rusting rides overtaken by vines, graffiti-covered walls crumbling in silence, and a haunting stillness where laughter once carried across the bay. The pier, once bustling with ferries, has been reduced to this, a broken silhouette against the dawn.
