The Story Behind “The Dome“
The domed ceiling of the Rhode Island Convention Center is a stunning subject for architectural photography. To capture this unique perspective, I lay down on my back in the middle of the lobby, aligning the curves and symmetry just right. The result is a visually compelling image that transforms a familiar space into something extraordinary.
Printed as fine art, The Dome brings perspective, design, and architectural elegance into your space. Whether displayed in a home, office, or designer’s curated environment, this piece offers visual impact, emotional resonance, and a playful story behind its creation—art that invites curiosity and admiration.
Limited Edition Information
An edition of 25, and then it’s closed.
You get a 12×18 inch image printed on 13×19 inch archival paper. I print it myself. Each print is signed, titled and numbered.
The story behind the photograph comes with it, printed on 9×11 fine art paper, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist’s proofs (AP) are also made. They are numbered and marked AP, and I use them at my discretion.
Open Edition Information
Open Edition prints are made by Blazing Editions, a fine art print studio I’ve worked with for over a decade. I’ve been through their shop and watched how they work. They print to order with archival pigment inks, on paper or metal, and I trust them with my images.
Paper or Metal?
Paper gives you the most detail and the traditional look. Metal is glossy, vivid and tough, and it hangs without a frame.
Both use archival materials and archival pigment inks.
These are fine art prints. Frames are not included.
Which Size?
When in doubt, I’d go a size up.
The Print Size Guide shows how each size looks in a room.
Shipping & Handling
Every print is made to order and packed with care.
