The Story Behind “Blue”
I spent most of the morning down at the water’s edge, searching for a composition that never quite came together. The waves and rocks danced, but nothing sang to me. A bit deflated, I climbed back up the rocks, ready to call it a wrap. Then I glanced over my shoulder—and there it was. The scene I hadn’t found all morning was waiting quietly behind me. I grabbed the camera again, dialed in a long exposure, and watched as the clouds turned to soft, sweeping streaks of blue across the sky. Sometimes the best shot is the one you nearly miss. Printed as fine art, in a signed and numbered Limited Edition of 25 – also available as an Open Edition in paper or metal.
Limited Edition Information
An edition of 25, and then it’s closed.
You get a 12×18 inch image printed on 13×19 inch archival paper. I print it myself. Each print is signed, titled and numbered.
The story behind the photograph comes with it, printed on 9×11 fine art paper, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist’s proofs (AP) are also made. They are numbered and marked AP, and I use them at my discretion.
Open Edition Information
Open Edition prints are made by Blazing Editions, a fine art print studio I’ve worked with for over a decade. I’ve been through their shop and watched how they work. They print to order with archival pigment inks, on paper or metal, and I trust them with my images.
Paper or Metal?
Paper gives you the most detail and the traditional look. Metal is glossy, vivid and tough, and it hangs without a frame.
Both use archival materials and archival pigment inks.
These are fine art prints. Frames are not included.

When in doubt, I’d go a size up.
