The Story Behind “Sunflowers under a Crescent Moon”
Once the sun sinks below the horizon, the camera doesn’t get put away. Some of the most beautiful colors of the day appear after sunset, when the world slows and the light softens.
On this summer night, I was fortunate enough to watch a thin crescent moon rise above a field of sunflowers, casting a gentle glow across the blooms. The sky was calm, the air still, and the light felt almost ethereal—quiet, fleeting, and easy to miss if you weren’t paying attention.
Sunflowers under a Crescent Moon captures that delicate in-between moment, where day gives way to night and nature reveals something unexpected. It’s a reminder that beauty doesn’t always arrive when we expect it, and the most rewarding moments are often the ones worth waiting for.

Limited Edition Information
An edition of 25, and then it’s closed.
You get a 12×18 inch image printed on 13×19 inch archival paper. I print it myself. Each print is signed, titled and numbered.
The story behind the photograph comes with it, printed on 9×11 fine art paper, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist’s proofs (AP) are also made. They are numbered and marked AP, and I use them at my discretion.
Open Edition Information
Open Edition prints are made by Blazing Editions, a fine art print studio I’ve worked with for over a decade. I’ve been through their shop and watched how they work. They print to order with archival pigment inks, on paper or metal, and I trust them with my images.
Paper or Metal?
Paper gives you the most detail and the traditional look. Metal is glossy, vivid and tough, and it hangs without a frame.
Both use archival materials and archival pigment inks.
These are fine art prints. Frames are not included.

When in doubt, I’d go a size up.
