Seascape Photography at Sachuest Point in Middletown, Rhode Island
Last weekend I headed out to Sachuest Point in Middletown, Rhode Island, to check out a seascape photography workshop that the Photographic Society of Rhode Island hosted with photographer Ed King of 02809 Photography.
Sixteen members of the club joined Ed at dawn to photograph the shoreline at sunrise and try out some of the tips he’d covered in his presentation earlier that week. The morning was cold, no way around it, but everyone bundled up and stuck it out.
Honestly, I spent most of the time photographing the other workshop members as they worked, more than shooting seascapes myself — but it was still a great morning. Some of my favorite shots ended up being silhouettes of photographers climbing around on the rocky coastline as the light came up.
