Question 3 of 18 · Chapter 1: What am I buying?
Yes, they are real photographs. Every image I sell was shot with my own camera, out on location. No AI is involved in making the photograph. I do use a digital assistant to help with the business side of running this site, and I will tell you exactly where.
The photographs
I am 100% real. I went out, stood in the cold more often than I would like, and took the picture. The photographs you see on this site are mine, and so are the prints that come from them.
Where I do use AI
I use a digital assistant to help with the business side: organizing my thoughts, drafting and checking website copy, keeping track of what needs doing. I read it and change it before it goes anywhere, and it does not make the photographs.
Why I bother saying so
More and more pictures online are not what they look like. If you are going to hang something in your home, you should know it came from someone standing at the shore at sunrise. I would want to know.
I wrote up how I actually use AI as a photographer: How I Use AI as a Photographer. The next question in this guide is Open vs limited edition prints.
