- Your camera is always trying to land the meter on 0. That’s its idea of correct: an even balance of light and dark.
- Zero is a guide, not a rule.
- Rarely do I walk up to a scene and think, “wow, what a perfect balance of light and dark.” It just doesn’t happen.
- Understand what the meter is telling you, and then decide for yourself.
