Connecticut

Connecticut is a short drive from my Rhode Island home base. Half of my work here is sunflowers, including the fields at Buttonwood Farm in Griswold. The rest is trees on a hill, the night sky over a farm, and a steam train.

Sunflowers at Buttonwood Farm

Ten acres of sunflowers in Griswold, under every kind of sky: a crescent moon after dusk, sunset, red skies and a storm. I am a sucker for dramatic skies, and it gets me in trouble.

Trees on a Hill and the Night Sky

Two trees on a hill, in silhouette at sunset, and again under the Big Dipper. The Big Dipper over the farm took two nights. The first was a total failure, and there might have been an incident with a cow.
