“A Little Off the Top Please” – Photography of a Barbers Chair in a Bank Vault

As a photographer I am always on the look out for a scene that I feel will make for a great photograph. Sometimes I have to really work to find it, and other times the scene will simply present itself. This barbers chair in a bank vault is the type of scene that you simply cannot miss!

On a recent afternoon out photographing the city of Providence with a friend, we stopped in at a Steampunk Festival that was being held at an old building that was formally used as a bank. Inside the old vault of that bank was an antique barbers chair, just begging to be photographed! The scene itself was perfect! The massive cement walls were covered with scribbled writings and equations in chalk. It seemed a lot more like a scene out of an asylum then a bank!
